目前，整个集团的总资产大约2000亿元，负债4200亿元到4600亿元，这也就意味着中植集团已经资不抵债，算是破产了。对投资者而言，他们投进去的钱基本上拿不回来了。
中植集团理财产品的客户以有钱人为主。按照一位理财经理的说法，投300万只是普通客户。仅仅300万元以上的理财产品就有15万人把钱投了进去，一下子投50亿的大客户也有。
一般来说，有钱人在理财上会更聪明，没有那么容易被坑。尽管如此，中植集团还是照样收割了有钱人。市场上的理财产品收益普遍不高，一般在3%左右。要是买中植集团的理财产品，6%的收益已经算低的了。天下没有免费的午餐，贪欲让投资者只看到了自己能赚多少，完全忘记了下一秒就会踩雷。
中植集团一直把很多钱都投到了房地产市场。随着中国各大房地产公司暴雷，中植集团也跟着受影响。再加上管理中植集团资金的公司也连续出现暴雷，中植集团面临的是一个积重难返的困局，走向破产只是早晚的事。
